News for Mount Agung Bali

News Regarding the eruption of mt agung Bali

This news can be your consideration for you when you have plan come to  Bali.

News channels around the world and the Indonesian authorities have been reporting on the heightened unrest and seismic activity of Mount Agung on the Eastern side of our beautiful Island.

Many of you have asked us if we will be affected by the recent volcanic activity and I wanted to ensure you that we are vigilant in our response and take our guest comfort and safety extremely seriously.
Indonesian officials and volcanologists are in close communication, and we at Bali Jungle Trekking will be monitoring and adhering to any advice that we are given from the authorities to ensure your day with us comfortable.

In Ubud, Kuta, Nusa dua, Jimbaran, North of Bali ( Bedugul, sekumpul village, sambangan, village or start from Singaraja City till west Bali we are very fortunate that our daily lives are not currently being affected and there is no immediate threat to your safety, and you should be encouraged to go on as usual as any normal day.
There is presently no certainty when the volcano will erupt, or even if it will erupt but please be safe in the knowledge that above mentioned place are quite far from Mount Agung, and Ngurah Rai International Airport in Denpasar is located approximately 76 KM (47 Miles), also South-West of the mountain.
The National Disaster Mitigation Agency has stated no residents nor visitors should be within 9 KM (5.6 Miles) radius and within 12 KM (7.5 Miles) to the North, North-East, South-East, and South/ South-West of the mountain.

The Indonesian authorities have made many preparations for this natural phenomenon to ensure that people are safe and ask that people continue to come and enjoy their visit in Bali.
We, however, are praying for the people of Karangasem who have had to leave their homes until the situation is back to normal. Everyone on the island is contributing in their own way for the wellbeing of the evacuees offering shelter, food, and other urgent needs. Of course it is a great hardship for people to leave their homes but we find solace in the fact that people have had ample time to leave the affected areas and remain safe in other parts of the island.
The Balinese people and the Bali Jungle Trekking family appreciate the many visitors who come each day and make a huge economic impact on the island and continue to enjoy the comfort and facilities of our hotel; however, should you have any further concerns please do not hesitate to contact me or any of my team and we will be happy to assist you further.
Guests are also advised that if travelling to and from the island during this time, to confirm your travel arrangements directly with your airline or travel agent before travelling to the airport.
Thank you for your endless support and we hope that your holiday with us is as worry free as possible, and we trust that now is the time to come and safely experience one of natures most incredible wonders.
