Holy Hot Spring in Banjar Village, North Bali

Banjar Holy Hot Spring is natural hot spring and swimming pools which are located in Banjar village, north Bali. It is situated in the middle of the country side in a beautiful tropical landscape. The sulphureous water is of volcanic origin and has a warm temperature of about 37 degrees Celcius, it is suitable for people who suffer from rheumatic diseases. Balinese people believe that the hot water here can cure some skin disease. The location is in the country side of the village which is about 1.5 Km from Banjar village or 24 Km from Singaraja Town, east of it. To go to the location, you can go by a motor bike or a private car through the main road. This way you will pass the Balinese village with its unique daily life. Accommodations like hotels or lodgings and restaurants are also available nearby.
These hot spring swimming pools were built hundreds of years ago. Since the Japanese colonialism era, this hot spring has developed into three swimming pools. In the past, the Japanese had also built its military officer resort not far from this area. Having a bath in the hot water which is sulphureous will be able to heal some skin disease.

The hot water swimming pools in Banjar have been well-known to be a place of interest in north Bali. This tourist attraction has been visited by a lot of domestic and foreign countries. It will take 3 hours drive from the International Airport of Bali and it is worth visiting if you go to Bali. Public facilities of the place are restaurants, toilets, food stalls, souvenir shops, lockers, and changing rooms. The air in this place is quite cool. The best time to visit this place is as early as possible in the morning when it is still quiet in the pools. It is usually crowded on weekends when a lot of domestic and foreign tourists come to swim here.
If you wish, you can also go hiking around this place. It is exciting to explore the surrounding country side where people are generally friendly and helpful. They usually greet you gladly. A Buddhist temple is located not far from this place so that you can also visit it during your visit to north Bali.
